Have you noticed the utter lack of slings at most Renaissance fairs? Not slingshots but the humble "shepherds sling".

It has been apart of human history for as long as, if not longer, than the bow has, and has been used by almost every culture across the world for thousands of years. From the Egyptians, to Greeks, to Romans, to the Inca, to Ireland, they have all used basically the same simple tool to sling a stone, lead, or clay projectiles in battle, at game, or just practice targets.

My goal is to get more people introduced to this pastime. I have been making and throwing slings for years now. I make them by hand here in Irmo. The are mostly leather pouch slings on a cord, but I will have a few Balearic Style braided ones.
