A Forecast Most Fair (We Hope!)
As the Festival at the Friars’ Gate draws nigh, many a villager doth ask: “Shall the skies be kind?”
While no wizard nor weather-witch may promise what the heavens may do, the historical records for May 16th and 17th are most encouraging.
On a ten-year average, these days host temperatures around 72 degrees, a most pleasant clime for revels and roaming. Rain has not been experienced on these dates in a decade, though a mischievous afternoon breeze has been known stir a few flags and feathered hats.
Of course, as with all things, the winds of fate may shift. We cannot guarantee sunshine in 2026, but if the past be any guide, it promises to be a lovely weekend for merriment.
The Festival shall proceed in sunshine or in rain, for our spirits are waterproof. Only in the event of truly dangerous weather—lightning storms, great gales, or acts of wrathful sky gods—shall the gates be closed for safety.
Be sure to include your cell phone number when you register if you wouldst be instantly appraised of any such situations.
So don thy cloak, pack thy parasol, and ready thy laughter. Fair weather or foul, the revels await!
